The writer uses quasy experimental method with pre-test post-test control group design. The writer collects the data through pre-test and post-test. After conducting the research, she finds that t-calculated value is 5.183 and degree of freedom is 78. The value of t-table at the significant level of t0,01 is 2.390 and the significant level of t0,05 is 1.671. The value of t-calculated is higher than that of t-table (5.183>2.390>1.671). it means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that two stay two stray technique affects the students’ reading ability.
