IMPROVING STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY MASTERY THROUGH FAN-N-PICK TECHNIQUE

Abstract


The tittle of the research is “Improving Students’ Vocabulary Mastery through Fan-N-Pick”. The aim of the research is to improve students’ vocabulary mastery through Fan-N-Pick technique. The research is conducted to the fourth grade of SDN Bojong Gede 2, Bogor that consists of 40 students as the sample. In doing the research, she uses Classroom Action Research which is done in two cycle process, each cycle consist of three treatments. To collect the data, she uses tests ( pre-test and post-test), close-ended questionnaire and observation. In pre-test only eight students (20%) that reached the standard score. The result of the first cycle post-test shows that 18 students (45%) and   the learning target of this research has not reached yet. The result of the second cycle post-test shows that 40 students (100%) had reached the standard score, it means that the target learning of this research has reached.  The questionnaire result shows that all of the students (100%) agree that learning English with Fan-N-Pick is interesting. It can be concluded that this Classroom Action Research in improving students’ vocabulary mastery through Fan-N-Pick is successful.
