IMPROVING STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY THROUGH WHAT IS IT GAME
Abstract
Vocabulary is an important part in learning English especially English because, it is a basic knowledge to reach a comprehension in learning and using the languange. Unfortunately, they are lack of vocabulary, such as the knowledge of vocabulary. Therefore, teachers who play important role in the classroom should be creative to find some teaching tehcniques to help students to get more vocabulary. One of the techniques which is appropriate to improve students’ vocabulary to get more vocabulary is What Is It? game. This research is aimed at improving students’ vocabulary to get more vocabulary. There are two cycle processes. In the first cycle post test, 26% students get the score above the standard score. It increases from the students’ score in pre test score in which 40% get the score below the standard score. Additionally, in the second cycle post test, 100% students get the score above the standard score (70). Thus, it can be concluded that What Is It? game can improve students’ vocabulary to get more vocabulary.
